feel, breathe, give thanks

No one hands you the manual to your own emotions

A difficult emotion isn't a flaw to fix. It's a signal about the direction you're heading. my helpmate gives you a way to read it, and a way to move through it.

Free. No one reads what you write.

The my helpmate home screen: the morning routine and breathing already done, then speech greetings, the review of the day and the best things of the day still to come, on the timeline

No one reads what you write. Not even me.

No account to create, no cloud AI, no one reading what you write. Your insights are computed on your device: correlations and trends need no server, and there are no ads. Your entries are saved to your personal iCloud, which is on by default and can be turned off in settings: they never pass through a server of mine, because there is no such server.

What you can do with it

A compass, not a verdict

Seven steps, from contraction to expansion. You name what you feel, place it, and see which direction you're heading. When an emotion weighs on you, a guided inquiry walks you through it: name it, welcome it for three breaths, trace what set it off, let it speak, then thank it. In writing or out loud, and only if you switch this option on.

When it tightens, start by breathing

A flower opens and closes at the pace you choose: inhale, pause and exhale, all set by you. A vibration marks each change of phase, in silence, so your eyes can stay closed. On the train, at the office, next to someone asleep: no one needs to know. A breath sound is there if you want it, off by default.

Words spoken to you, not just written

Write what you want to hear: a gratitude, a soothing word, a sentence that puts things back in their place. You can dictate it too. The app reads it back to you out loud, in the language, voice and pace you choose. Sort them by theme, keep the ones that carry you, archive the rest. The kind words born from an inquiry gather on their own in a collection, “My healings”. And when a reading ends, a discreet card simply asks where it leaves you, right now.

Your days nourish your intentions. Here, you can see it

In My sky, set down what truly matters across twelve areas of life, as a photo, a drawing or a few words. Each intention becomes a star. What you live day to day draws the constellations closer or further away, without a single number and without deadlines.

After a few weeks, your journal starts talking back

Correlations between your activities and your mood, an emotional forecast, trends over time, your sleep read from the Health app. It's all computed on your device, to spot what lifts you as well as what needs attention. A dip is shown as a dip, never as a failure.

Two minutes in the morning, two minutes at night

An intention for the day, a gentle review in the evening, breathing when things tighten, a gratitude to listen to, an affirmation on your home screen. The rest builds itself, at your own pace.

iPhone and iPad

my helpmate follows you on iPad too. A full backup you can export whenever you want, in a file readable on any computer. And eleven languages.

One gesture, wherever you are

Two home screen widgets, an affirmation and a window onto your sky. Siri to log an emotion without opening the app. Face ID to lock it.

Free, and all of it is included

No locked features, no ads anywhere. In-app purchases exist to support the project, never to unlock anything: a tip or a supporter subscription, from the settings. Available in eleven languages.

Frequently asked questions

Does my data go anywhere?

Not through me: the app creates no account and I have no server. Your entries are saved on your iPhone, and by default they are also saved to your personal iCloud, which you can turn off in settings. No one reads what you write.

Does an artificial intelligence read what I write?

No, none at all. The correlations between your moods and your activities, the trend and the word cloud are computed by the app on your device, with simple rules. Nothing is sent to a model, here or anywhere else.

What does iCloud syncing do, and can I turn it off?

It is on by default, as long as you are signed in to iCloud on the device. Your data travels between your own devices through your iCloud account, under your Apple ID, and passes through no server of mine. You can turn it off in settings (the change takes effect at the next launch): the app then works entirely offline, on this device only.

Do I need to create an account?

No, and there is no way to create one. You download, you open, you write.

What is emotional guidance, and should I turn it on?

It is an optional layer that adds a stepped scale to place an emotion, a guided exploration to trace its cause, and the link between your intentions and how you feel. While it is off, the app stays a plain journal. You can switch it on and off whenever you like, without losing anything.

What is “My sky”?

A vision board shown as a starry sky. Each intention is a star, each area of life a constellation, and how far a constellation sits depends on the last time you came back to it. No deadlines, no numeric targets.

How do I get everything back when I change iPhone?

By default, your data reappears when you sign in to your iCloud account on the new iPhone. If you turned syncing off, the app exports a full backup to a file you keep wherever you like and import again later.

Is the app really free?

Yes, entirely, and every feature is included. The App Store listing mentions in-app purchases: those are tips and a supporter subscription, entirely optional, and they unlock no features.

What's the little flame counter on the home screen?

A marker of how many days in a row you've used the app, with milestones at 3, 7, 14, 30 and 100 days. It isn't a leaderboard or a competition, just a personal marker you can ignore completely if it doesn't speak to you.

Which languages?

Eleven: German, English, Korean, Spanish, French, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish. The app follows your iPhone's language, with variants for British English and Brazilian Portuguese.
